Shareholders of ANTCO

Shareholder Investment:

The Company is owned by 198 Shareholders who are comprised of Bands, Tribal Councils, Aboriginal Organizations, Métis Associations, Status, Non-Status, and Métis individuals. The original investment in ANTCO was $339,000 and in 1990 the Shareholder investment increased to $1.069 Million. Additionally there was $2.75Million capitalization provided to ANTCO as a contribution. The "common bond” of association is the five Tribal areas within the Central Interior of BC: Kootenay, Okanagan, Thompson, Shuswap, and Stl’Atl’imx. The original value of the Class "A” common shares was $100 and in 1997 the shares were split 10 to 1 ($10 per share).

Nomination/Election Process:

There are 12 Board members with 6 elected for a 2 year term at each Annual General Meeting. A call for nominations is sent out the latter part of July or early August. Anyone who declares their interest must own 10 shares in their own right at least 30 days prior to the AGM. The Director’s guidelines clearly identify the qualifications and requirements to be a Director of All Nations Trust Company.

How to Purchase Shares:

There are restrictions on the ownership of shares:

You must be Aboriginal
75% of the Shareholders must reside or be from within the 5 Interior Tribal Regions
Shares can only be transferred to a qualified Shareholder
Purchases must be approved by the Board

ANTCO does not have shares for sale however we do keep a list of those who have declared their interest in selling their shares. You may also approach another Shareholder and ask if they are interested in selling their shares.

Both the seller and the purchaser can call ANTCO and ask about the value of the shares from the most recent share valuation.

Once you have agreement you contact ANTCO and request the share transfer forms and have these completed to be presented at the next Board of Directors Meeting for formal approval.
