Rhonda Dieni, owner of Ananda Tavam Inc., is passionate about healthy living. Years ago she founded the Bikram Yoga College of India in North Vancouver and was the recipient of the Business of the Year at the BC Aboriginal Achievement Awards. Rhonda has since sold her shares to her partner after deciding to move back home. In keeping with her passion, Rhonda began making Kombucha Tea for distribution at local farmer’s markets. Kombucha is a fermented, lightly effervescent, sweetened black or green tea. It is said to treat a wide variety of human illnesses including AIDS, cancer, diabetes, and can stimulate the immune system.
Rhonda had so much success with her tea that she was quickly picked up as a supplier for Nature’s Fare Markets in Kamloops. In order to keep up with increasing demand, she approached All Nations Trust Company to assist with the cost for her to establish a commercial grade kitchen so she could expand her operations. Rhonda’s tea is marketed as Bliss Tea Kombucha and you can find her products in Nature’s Fare Markets across B.C., Nuleaf Produce, Quality Greens Markets and The Independent Grocer. Consistent with her past success, Rhonda is this year’s recipient of the All Nations Trust Company Female Entrepreneur of the Year.
